If you can make a strong frown shape with your lips when you make a sad face, you may have an overactive muscle in the corners of your mouth, which over time can increase the appearance of a sad expression when at rest. Botulinum relaxes a muscle called the depressor anguli oris, which stops that pulling down of the lips, and gives them back a more relaxed, happy appearance.

Cigarettes and alcohol can slow down the healing process after Botox. Smoking increases your risk of bruising. Do not drink or smoke for at least 48 hours before the procedure. Arrive with no make up on and hair tied back if possible. After your treatment you will be asked to book your review. Reviews are strictly within 10-14 days after treatment. Any need addition of toxin after this time is treated as a separate appointment.
